From Grounds to Gathering Spaces: A Walk Through the BFS School Design
As you move indoors, the design opens into light-filled spaces that invite collaboration. The layout prioritizes flexibility, with multipurpose zones, open atriums, and tiered seating areas that foster both formal learning and casual interaction.

This site drainage plan demonstrates a comprehensive approach to sustainable water management across the BFS School grounds. Designed by Wilkinson Eyre, the layout integrates a range of green infrastructure solutions that effectively manage surface water while supporting the ecological health of the site.

This visual captures a key transitional space within the BFS School design—an open-air terrace that bridges the indoors and outdoors while encouraging social interaction. The layered architectural elements, including elevated walkways and angled planes, create dynamic movement through the site and provide natural gathering zones. Seating areas are integrated into the layout, allowing students and staff to relax, connect, or study in a more informal setting.

Transparency and movement define the interior—glass walls, wide staircases, and open lounges create a dynamic, connected environment that evolves with its users.

This interior rendering highlights one of the school's main circulation corridors—a spacious, light-filled walkway that functions as both a transitional and communal hub. The sweeping ceiling form and expansive glazing draw natural light deep into the space, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
This vibrant double-height atrium is envisioned as the heart of the BFS School—a central learning commons where openness, visibility, and collaboration take center stage. Natural light floods the space through floor-to-ceiling glazing, complemented by indoor greenery that brings nature into the everyday learning environment.
